
Mike Fahrni, also known as Mr.Killjoy, is a 33 year-old musician living in Le Locle, Switzerland. Guitarist and singer in the Power Sixties Rock’n’Roll band Seriously Serious and drummer of the Metal band Silver Dust, he has also been a music teacher since 2009 and opened his own drum school in Le Locle to share his passion for his instrument.
Mr.Killjoy began playing drums on October 13 2005 as a self-taught musician, after attending his very first concert a few months earlier by the band Lordi. In the summer of 2006, he founded the Hard Rock band Monster Sound, in which he was both drummer and singer.
In the summer of 2009, he joined the Shock Rock band Poison Heidi as a drummer.
In 2012, he founded Red Night, Switzerland’s first Green Day tribute band, taking on guitar and vocal duties.
In 2013, he created Powerhate, a studio project in which he played drums, bass, and provided vocals. In October of the same year, he signed his first endorsement contract with the cymbal brand Velvet Cymbals. In September 2013, Poison Heidi came to an end.
In 2014, he signed a new endorsement deal with Agner Drumsticks. In March of the same year, he joined the Metal band Silver Dust as their drummer.
In 2015, Mr.Killjoy traveled to England to record Monster Sound’s third album and, in September of the same year, signed a new endorsement contract with the American cymbal brand Soultone Cymbals.
In March 2016, he was invited to perform a drum solo on the Swiss TV show Die grössten Schweizer Talente, where he received four YES votes from the jury. In April of the same year, he recorded the eleventh album of Bernie Constantin and joined him on stage at Rock’Oz Arènes. In May 2016, he signed an endorsement deal with the renowned drumhead brand Evans Drumheads. On July 1, 2016, Red Night gave its final concert. In September 2016, Monster Sound released its fourth and final album, and Mr.Killjoy went on a 32 date European tour across 13 countries with Silver Dust, opening for Lordi.
In 2017, Mr.Killjoy unveiled his new project Seriously Serious, where he serves as guitarist and vocalist. In March of the same year, he signed another endorsement deal with Bang! Drums, with whom he designed a custom-made drum kit. In September 2017, he again toured Europe with Silver Dust, opening for Battle Beast.
In 2018, he released the second album from Seriously Serious and left Silver Dust. That same year, he became the promoter of the Corn’Rock Festival in Cornaux.
In March 2019, he organized the first edition of La Bourse à la Musique du Locle and participated as a drummer in the play Of Mice and Men in June of that year. In September, he released the third album of Seriously Serious and produced Walldown’s debut album in December 2019.
In 2020, he organized the second edition of La Bourse à la Musique du Locle, began work on Seriously Serious’ fourth album, and released 30 drum videos titled Mr.Killjoy Fridays.
In 2021, he began recording his first solo album and released Coffee Time, Seriously Serious’ fourth album. In October, he recorded drums for the second album of Samer Elnahhal (a.k.a. OX, former bassist of Lordi). On December 28, 2021, to celebrate his 30th birthday, he unveiled his solo album Chronicles with a special live show.
In early 2022, he began media promotion for Chronicles. In March of that year, he toured France with Seriously Serious, opening for Les 3 Fromages, and recorded a fifth album in Corrèze in April. On May 20 and 21, he organized the 10th edition of the Corn’Rock Festival. During the summer, he joined LORDI in Sweden and traveled with them to manage the band’s pyrotechnic show at Wacken Open Air in Germany in front of 80,000 people. In September, he organized the third edition of La Bourse à la Musique du Locle and released an unplugged live album with Seriously Serious. At the end of October, Samer Elnahhal’s solo album with Mr.Killjoy's drums was released.
On January 21, 2023, Guess What?!, the fifth studio album of Seriously Serious, was released. In March 2023, Mr.Killjoy celebrated the 10th anniversary of his drum school and fulfilled one of his dreams in June by inviting Sampsa Astala (a.k.a. Kita, the original drummer of Lordi) to Switzerland for three solo concerts. In July of the same year, he inaugurated his brand-new music studio and began recording his second solo album.
In early 2024, he composed the entire musical score for the play Le principe d’Archimède for the Mandragore company. On March 14, he announced his collaboration with young French artist Lou Beurier. On April 13, 2024, Mr.Killjoy released his second solo album Precious Disaster. During the summer, he returned behind the drums with Silver Dust for three replacement concerts. He produced Lou Beurier’s debut album (released on November 13) and began work on Seriously Serious’ sixth album.
On January 21, 2025, he officially announced his return as drummer for Silver Dust. Thanks For Nothing, the sixth album by Seriously Serious, was released on February 7, and Silver Dust released Symphony of Chaos, their fifth album, on April 4. On October 13, 2025, Mr.Killjoy celebrated 20 years of drumming and, one week later, his 500th concert.
