My name is Mike Fahrni, also known as Mr. Killjoy. I’m a 33 year old drummer based in Le Locle, Switzerland. Currently, I am the hired drummer of the swiss Metal band Silver Dust, and I also perform as the singer in my own Rock’n’Roll band, Seriously Serious. In 2013, I founded my own drum school, where I teach weekly lessons. Today, I make my living entirely from music, producing songs and recording drums for both national and international artists.

1. Celebrating 20 Years Behind the Drum Kit
This October, I will celebrate 20 years of drumming, two decades of passion, live shows, recording sessions, and teaching. Throughout my career, I have worked with several Swiss and international bands, signed multiple endorsement deals, and performed over 500 live shows across Europe.

2. My Story with Crystal Ball
I have been listening to Crystal Ball since 2003, when the album Hellvetia left a big impression on me as a kid. Later, I attended several of your shows and had the great pleasure of inviting Crystal Ball to perform at my own festival, the Corn’Rock Festival in Cornaux, on May 24th, 2019.

3. The New Chapter of the Band
I was saddened to read the news about Cris and Marcel, and I wish them the very best for the future.
Crystal Ball’s music represents exactly the kind of drumming I love to play. Although I have been hired in the past for more technical and metal-oriented drumming, I truly appreciate the energy and efficiency that Marcel brought to the songs. That is precisely how I see drumming: always in service of the music.

4. My drumming
My drumming style is highly visual and expressive with a dynamic stage presence. I see every performance as a show in itself, where energy and precision go hand in hand. This approach adds a powerful visual identity to the live experience, which I believe aligns perfectly with a bold and inspiring band like Crystal Ball.

I can learn a full setlist or even an entire album to record, very quickly. I play live drums with click and precision, and I pay close attention to every detail to deliver the best possible performance.
